Two reasons. First, the company culture is something you can’t find any place else. Everyone is friendly and open to helping you learn and grow. Each day is a pleasant surprise! Second, Gongos is a place where I can continue my growth. We strive to make everyone a well-rounded researcher and continue to investigate new methodologies and products which make Gongos and their employees well above the innovation curve!
When others ask “What is it that you do?” I love telling them that we determine not only which products to put on shelves, but where those products should be located, how they are packaged, and what exactly you can expect from them. I love diving deep into the human mind to divulge people’s exact wants and needs and then deliver them a product they’ve helped develop.
After a brief experience at Western Michigan University, I decided Marketing Research was it for me. A professor encouraged me to look into the University of Georgia’s Master in Marketing Research (MMR) program. From there, I entered the program as one of sixteen students from around the world. Along with classes, I worked in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science (JAMS) editorial office and conducted a positioning study with classmates for a company which provides pharmacy services to long-term health care facilities.
After graduating, I moved back to Michigan to work for Gongos as a Project Coordinator. I was promoted to Senior Project Coordinator on the Automotive/Powersports team, and from there I transitioned into my current role as Project Director.
In a typical day I interact with clients, develop analysis plans, mentor and train others, manage and moderate a metaCommunity™ across three countries, and interact with co-workers, all the while sitting back smiling and enjoying my career.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and dog (100-lb. Boxer named Josey Boy). I love to take weekend trips to Northern Michigan with my husband where I can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery, as well as travel to new and exotic places where every moment is an adventure.
